Located at the Amelia Earhart Memorial Airport in a stunning art deco-inspired 17,000 square foot hangar. The centerpiece is Muriel — the world's last remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E — identical to the plane Earhart flew on her final flight. Features 14 interactive, immersive STEM exhibits chronicling her adventurous life.

Amelia was born in this beautiful home on July 24, 1897. The museum has been restored to its turn-of-the-century condition when Earhart lived here with her grandparents. Owned and operated by The Ninety-Nines Inc., an international organization of women pilots that Amelia helped found in 1929 and served as its first president.

This remarkable one-acre portrait was created by famed Kansas artist Stan Herd in 1997. Located on a hillside overlooking Warnock Lake, the earthwork is composed of permanent plantings, stone, and other natural materials. A viewing deck on a nearby hilltop provides the best ground views of this unique tribute to Atchison's most famous daughter.

International Forest of Friendship
A living memorial to those involved in aviation and space exploration. A life-size bronze statue of Amelia gazes over the forest. Features trees from all 50 states and over 36 countries where 1,500 honorees reside. Includes the "Moon Tree" grown from a seed taken to the moon aboard Apollo 14, and the Astronaut's Memorial honoring ten astronauts who lost their lives.
