Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum Open House

July 10, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join us for a free open house to learn about artifact preservation and get a sneak peek at our museum!
The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum recently received a Culture Preservation grant from Humanities Kansas. These funds purchased preservation materials for textiles used and worn by Amelia Earhart.
The culmination of this grant project is a free open house to share this work with the public! Visit us on Saturday, July 10, to step behind the scenes into our artifact storage room to see these textiles up close. You will also see the centerpiece of our museum: Muriel, the last remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E, identical to the airplane Amelia Earhart went missing in on her around-the-world flight.
The museum gift shop will be open for purchases during the Open House. We accept cash, card, and check.
