Atchison hosts two major festivals. Amelia Earhart Festival in July and the Muddy River Music Festival in September. Music alongside the Missouri River is an epic experience. Beyond music you’ll find restaurants and bars to accommodate any taste, from wine to whiskey to a local microbrewery. Theatre Atchison and The Atchison Art Association are our local arts organizations that puts on plays and events throughout the course of each year.
