The Dilgert House which finished construction in 1890, was once the family home of one of Atchison’s original stone masons, Adam Dilgert and his family. Well over a century has passed since the construction of the home, and though new life has blessed this old house, the original inhabitants seem to have never truly left! Frances Dilgert is known to haunt the house. She passed away at age 22 from double pneumonia.
